Freighter Moskva loaded with 2800 cubic meters of logs was entering Dafeng port, China, early in the morning May 3 2012, and collided with unknown underwater object. Vessel got a hole in engine room area, notwithstanding the patch, engine room was flooded. Vessel stayed afloat and was taken to port by tugs, to be berthed.

Russian media report sinking of oceanic trawler with reefer capacity Kapitan Bolsunovskiy in the morning hours on May 26, 2012. The vessel got a hole and sank in the Bering sea, some 300 nm SW of Dezhnev Cape, on the boundary of the Anadyr Bay. Crew of 91 rescued by nearby vessel, no injures reported. The area where the trawler sank is free of navigational dangers, so presumably trawler collided with another vessel.

On average, freezer trawler ""Yamato"" (owner of LLC ""Antaeus,"" Sovetskaya Gavan port of registry) is on fisheries in the Bering Sea, May 27, 2012 out of order due to the winding gear on the propeller. According to the State Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre, the ship lost her course, requires towing to port repair. Shipowner offered to tow a tug ""Ruby"", Sakhalin branch of the Baltic BASU. As of on the morning of May 28  trawler ""Yamato"" was located near the vessel ""Arctic Crystal,"" pending the decision of the shipowner.



Far Eastern Transport Prosecutors Office organized a check on the fact of the collapse of the trawler ""Captain Bolsunovsky"" occurred in the Bering Sea, The Press-Service informs. During examination, the prosecutors office will assess compliance with the requirements of the legislation on maritime safety the shipowner and master of the vessel, The Regulation of law out of the vessel at sea, as well as the presence of threats to environmental security marine waters.


The Large freezer trawler ""Captain Bolsunovsky"" (owner of CJSC ""Sakhalin Leasing Flot"", home port Kholmsk) was damaged in the hold number 2 in the morning of May 26, 2012 among the ice in the Bering Sea, 30-40 miles off-shore. Since the emergency situation threatening to the life of the crew was defined, the whole team was evacuated to the trawler ""Dersu Uzala"".  In 50 minutes after this accident the vessel ""Captain Bolsunovsky"" sank.



General cargo vessel Kirsten ran aground near Mikelbaka, Ventspils area, Baltica sea, Latvia, reported Latvian Coast Guard on May 28 2012. Vessel managed to refloat by own means. Authorities launched an investigation. Vessel’s survey found no damages. Vessel is moored in Mersrags, Riga Bay, since May 26.

Trawler Kapitan Laskov ran aground at night  June 3, 2012 off the Reefovyi Point, Kunashir island, Kuril Islands, Ekaterina Strait. Two fishing vessels are standing by, divers reported no visible damage to the hull. Crew is on board waiting for the oil barge to pump out some of the fuel.

Tanker Volgoneft-162 ran aground on a 1058 kilometer mark on the river Svir early on June 14 2012 when careening of the channel. Tanker loaded with 4433 tons of heavy oil was following from Kashper to Saint Petersburg. Vessel got hole in thruster area, no leakage reported. The vessel doesn’t hamper the river traffic.
