The Volkhovstroevsk Transport Prosecutor's Office investigates the implementation of the legislation on the safety of navigation in connection with the incident with a “Volgo-Balt-188”, dry cargo vessel on the Svir River near the village of Vozneseniye in the Podporozhsky district of the Leningrad region. According to preliminary information, at 12:50 Moscow time, October 22, 2020, at 959th km of the Svir River, the dry cargo vessel went out of the left edge of the fairway, which led to the vessel being aground. This was reported by the press service of the North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office.

Crew 12, as a result of the accident, no one was injured, there was no oil pollution.

The circumstances of the incident are being checked, and if there are grounds, the prosecutor's response will be taken.
